As we as a society grow and educate ourselves on how we can take better care of ourselves and our planet, we are discovering new tools and practices that can benefit us all. One of those practices is called permaculture, which is a type of design that allows us to improve the quality and productivity of our individual lives, our society and our environment by increasing food yields at the same time we reduce energy consumption and pollution. According to the Permaculture Institute, “Permaculture is an ecological design system for sustainability in all aspects of human endeavor. It teaches us how build natural homes, grow our own food, restore diminished landscapes and ecosystems, catch rainwater, build communities and much more.
I put this movie together with my friends Johnny Sacko and Ben Werner as a way to educate others about the benefits of permaculture. The goal of this informational documentary is to provide a living demonstration from people who not only have a philosophy about sustainable living, but who are actually living it in their everyday lives.
