Image 7 of 22

On Saturday, November 3, 2012, a captive Antilles Island Pinktoe Spider (Avicularia Versicolor) climbs to the top of a fern leaf. Native to the Caribbean, these spiders are favorites as pets due to their calm disposition and beautiful coloration. They were named pinktoe based on the color of the pads of their feet.
