Last fall, while I was visiting Montana De Oro State Park in San Luis Obispo, CA, I came across a group of dedicated volunteers from The Marine Mammal Center in Morro Bay. They were on their way to rescue a seal that was stranded on the beach. It was reported by a local fisherman that the seal seemed malnourished and under weight. Since my love of creative photography and film starts with a great desire to actively participate in cultural and environmental preservation, I asked the team to tag along and film the rescue. This is the result. Enjoy!
Please note: If you see a seal stranded on the beach, please call The Marine Mammal Center at (415) 289-7335. Do not approach the seal or try to help it yourselves. Let the experts do the great work.
