Local artist community leads Day of the Dead Celebration through downtown Hilo, Hawaii

Tori Santiago (far left) seems truly frightened as she and Vivianne Barton (center yellow) watch makeup artist Jennifer Mydock (far right) help a volunteer get ready to march through downtown Hilo, Hawaii on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 as part of a cultural remembrance for Dio De Los Muertos. Although this is typically a Latin tradition, the East Hawaiian Cultural Center chose to honor the day and the mixed ethnicity of their city. (Photo by Victoria Linssen / Brooks Institute ©2011
