On Thursday, November 10, 2011, students from the Brooks Institute of photography explored the diverse landscape of the Big Island of Hawaii via a drive down Saddle Road. One of the few roads to cut through the heart of the Island, the road increases and decreases in elevation and goes from jungle to high desert planes to the ocean. The most magnifcent part of the drive is the changing light and sky juxtaposed against the rapidly changing landscape. (Photo by Victoria Linssen © 2010 – 2018)
