Each year for the past 26 years, scientists, NGOs, community groups, fundraisers, Indigenous Peoples and presenters have gotten together in San Rafael, California for the annual Bioneer’s conference. The idea is to connect the best and the brightest to develop breakthrough, healing solutions that restore nature and communities. Founded by Kenny Ausubel and Nina Simons. The idea as Nina so adequately states is: “to bring our hearts, minds and hands together in shared vision and engaged action” marrying environment with social justice.
This year, I hooked up with my friends from the Republic of Light collective and shot creative photos for the event. If you haven’t seen their work, you should definitely check them out. They are an incredibly unique and talented team of international photographers and filmmakers!
With so many presentations, workshops and performances, we had plenty of opportunities to film and take pictures. Editing them down to favorites is always the hardest. Here’s my rough batch. Enjoy.
